There’s about $700 billion in tax inefficient asset allocation mutual funds that charge > 0.5%.
There’s about $20 billion in asset allocation ETFs that charge < 0.5%. (We have three of these.)
I always assumed that multi-asset ETFs would eat the mutual funds’ lunch. But it hasn’t happened yet. Of all the areas where ETFs are dominating flows, this remains one where the high-fee incumbents still prevail.
